A special welcome to everyone joining us this year:

It's great for us to have fresh faces and more voices. We know it can take a while to find your way around the music and all the doings, even with a friendly buddy in your section – please just ask if we can help, and let us know how you're going.
New songs
Emma's tracks for two new songs are now available on the website at Members/Songs:
- Il bianco e dulce cigno (The white and sweet swan), Vecchi
- Pui Non Si Trovano (Seek Not for Constancy), Mozart
These classical pieces are an important part of the balanced repertoire for our annual concert program in August. You need them on your phone and your computer or tablet, rapidamente.
It's really helpful to get started early to learn the words and impress the pets, the family and the neighbours by singing your best Italian loudly under the shower, in the yard and on the balcony.
Bill will be introducing them (the pieces, not the neighbours) at rehearsal on Tuesday 7 May.
Getting Emma's tracks
Last week we did a brisk trade in memory sticks with copies of Emma's tracks for all our current repertoire. These are for anyone who, for whatever reason, has had difficulties accessing the tracks on our website. We will have some more USBs at the next rehearsal.
But the USBs are only a bandaid solution – they are already out of date, with new songs added this week. So it is important that everyone is able to log on to the Member's Area and use the website confidently to stay current with our repertoire.
We've attached a new guide to this newsletter: How to be listening to Emma in 10 easy steps
Give it a try. Also, ask around or contact Derek if you need assistance with any of the steps in accessing, saving and using the tracks on our website.

Choir news and reports
ANZAC DAY, Sunday 21 April
Many thanks to the VW singers who came along to make it another memorable ANZAC Service. It was especially good to be joined by supportive friends from Mosaic for the occasion, and also great to see Ken Beadle and Margie in the crowd, with Ken back on his feet.
Bill presented the choir's gift of a book, and he reports that he received many compliments about the quality of our singing this year. Our thanks to Sue Beazely for helping it all work, and Pat Lowry for all her work doing her usual thorough job of organising us. The sandwiches at the traditional afters at Beaumaris Bowls Club were at their scrumptuous best, but the sausage rolls were to die for.
